Q) Where can products/samples be viewed?
A) A full-size working sample can be viewed at our Inovision Showroom, or a sales representative can show a small sample with profile options.

Q) Who do I contact to purchase the product?
A) An Inovision approved installer can be contacted to give quotations & can be purchases through them.

Q) Can a cost estimate be done without visiting the site?
A) Yes. The client will give the estimated opening size so we can give an estimated quote.

Q) What colours are available on the Aluminium profiles?
· All industry standard colours available.
·  Special colours on request.

Q) How to maintain the Aluminium Shutters?
· Only moving parts require lubrication, semi-annually.
· A light film of lubricant is advised to be applied on all moving & operational hardware once a month
· Aluminium profiles require regular interval cleaning. Please refer to Care & Maintenance guidelines for more detailed information.

Q) How often does the Shutters need to be serviced?
A) When Shutter System is maintained regularly, the need for servicing is significantly reduced. A service is only due when there is a need for replacing seals, wheels, & moving hardware items that effect the operation of the Shutters.

Q) Can the Shutters be used indoor & outdoors?
A) Yes. The Callisto Shutters can be fitted inside or outside the openings, but practicality must be taken in consideration on certain openings or configurations. Adjustable blades are more common for indoor shutters to replace curtains/blinds and is used as a security barrier. Fix blades are more commonly used on the outside of a building/property to control airflow and ventilation and is available in security or non-security shutters.

Q) How to clean the Aluminium Shutters?
A) Please refer to Block Out Shutters Care & Maintenance Guidelines.

Q) What blade types are available?
A)  Adjustable or fixed blades options are available.

Q) How would the Aluminium Shutters protect the consumer against burglars? (Testing to be done).
A) The security Shutters are an additional security barrier to deter burglars & because the Shutters are made of robust aluminium & strong fixings, it will make allot of noise & take allot of time if a burglar attempts to break through, therefore being a big deterrer for burglars.

Q) Where can the Shutter be used?
A) By windows, Hinged Doors, Sliding Doors, Stacking Doors, to enclose a balcony or veranda & room dividers.

Q) You mentioned virtual block out, what do you mean by it?
·  The Shutters virtually block out all-natural light because of the unique system design.
· Callisto shutters are the most effective natural light blocking barrier on the market.

Q) If you say security shutter, what do you mean by that?
A) The Shutters provide visual security as well as an Intruder barrier & is lockable.

Q) Can you lock the shutter from both sides?
A) Yes. The opening panel can be locked from both sides, but the adjustable blades can only be locked & unlocked from the inside for security reasons & piece of mind.

Q) What are the advantages of installing on the inside vs outside?
· Shutters will stay clean for longer.
· Extends the lifespan of the powder coating because the Shutters are not in direct sunlight & weather elements.
· Creating more secure barrier whilst allowing natural airflow into the building.
· Creating privacy.
· Allows windows that opens to the outside to be used as per normal.
· Additional security barrier.

Q) What are the advantages of installing on the outside vs inside?
· Better temperature control because of direct shade effect.
· For Esthetical use.
· For Ventilation.

Q) To which extent is your shutter soundproof? (Testing to be done).
A) Shutters are not designed to be soundproof but adds an additional sound barrier to deflect sound.

Q) Who does the installation of your shutters?
A) Inovision approved client.

Q) What role does Inovision play in the provision and installation of my shutter?
· Inovision is the designers, manufacturer & distributor of the Block Out Security Shutter System.
· Inovision ensures compliant products through rigorous testing.
· Continues product support to all Inovision clients.

Q) How long has your company been in existence?
A) 15 Years.

Q) Will I get better insurance rates by installing your shutters?
A) Yes. Most home content insurers accept Shutters as a security barrier when the shutters have locks installed. Please confirm with your insurer.

Q) What type of opening options will I have with your shutters?
· Option 1 – Sliding Stacking to left, right or both sides.
· Option 2 – Sliding Folding form left to right, right to left or split opening to either side.
· Option 3 – Sliding – Single, Double, Triple or Quad opening.
· Option 4 – Hinged – Single, Double or Double Bi-Fold.

Q) Is your shutter water resistant?
A) The Callisto Shutter range have not been designed as a water-resistant product. However, it will act as a weather barrier within normal weather conditions.

Q) Will the shutter make a noise in the wind?
· Dependant on wind conditions & direction. Callisto Shutters has not been designed to be airtight.
· Because Shutters are rigid, they should not rattle in windy conditions.

Q) Can your shutter accommodate fixed blades (non-tilting blades)?
A) Yes, the Callisto Shutter range refers to our adjustable blade design however we do have the Addora range which includes our fix blades options.

Q) How do I obtain your shutters staying anywhere in South Africa?
A) Get in contact with Inovision or approved client.

Q) Can I have your shutters installed, outside of South Africa?
A) Enquire directly with Inovision.

Q) Will the shutters increase my property value?
A) Yes. The Aluminium Security Shutters are seen as home & security improvements & as part of the building features that add value to the property.

Q) Will the shutters damage in hail?
A) Yes. High possibility dependant on the hail conditions.

Q) Will the shutters fit on al openings?
A) Yes. The Callisto Shutters has been designed to accommodate most typical installation scenarios.

Q) What makes Callisto shutter different from other shutters in the market?
· Virtual Block out of natural light.
· Product versatility.

Q) What is the lifespan on the shutters & how durable are they?
A) Guarantee & warranty conditions to determine lifespan & regular care & maintenance will prolong the lifespan & durability dramatically.

Q) Are the shutters easy to operate?
A) Yes. The homeowner will receive the relevant information & training from the installer on correct operation of the system & is extremely easy to operate once understood.

Q) Are the blades lockable?
A) Yes. A blade slide lock is installed on the inside of the adjustable blades to lock & unlock the adjustable blades.

Q) How much privacy would shutters give me? Would someone still be able to see into my house?
A) The Block Out Shutters offer great visual privacy because of the block out it offers when the shutters & adjustable blades are in the closed position.

Q) How much space does it take up?
“A) The space needed for the product will be relative to the area of the operation of the product. This operation space will differ from option to option.”

Q) How much ventilation do the shutters supply?
A) Ventilation is easily controlled with the adjustable blades option.

Q) Do you offer motorized or automated shutters?
A) No.

Q) Does your company service the shutters when needed?
A) No. An Inovision approved client should be contacted & used to service the shutters.

Q) How does your locking feature compare with other shutters in the market?
A) Standard compliant security locks are used that conform to industry regulations.

Q) Are there security standards you comply with?
A) Info to follow once investigated. No SA standards currently.

Q) With all the moving parts, will the coating not shave off?
A) Inovision uses Qualicoat approved powder coaters that follows a 7-step pre-treatment process which should prevent powder coating from flaking or chipping off & the movable parts do not interfere with the powder coated profiles.

Q) To which extent is your shutter intruder proof?
A) Nothing is ever intruder proof. With enough time, effort & tools, burglars will get through any barrier, no matter the material they are attempting to break through. Burglars are always looking for an easy target. The time & effort it would take to break through the Shutter is the importance here & burglars usually assess these points before they attempt the break in & in most cases, if it makes too much noise or take too much time, they will not try & move on.

Q) Can I install the shutter on my own?
· Not at this moment. An Inovision approved client is recommended.
· DIY product will be introduced at a later stage.

Q) What are your future plans for improving your shutter?
A) We at Inovision are always looking for improvements that can be made to enhance the security & operation of our shutters but will only make improvements if the options are feasible & beneficial to the system & the client.

Q) Is your shutter SABS approved?
A) No. SABS is not the regulating body within the Shutter & Aluminium industry.

Q) If I want shutters fitted outside of my reveals, is this possible?
A) Yes. The Shutters can be fitted into reveals or Face fixed.

Q) How do you secure your shutter panel if in the open position?
A) A cabin hook or V-Catch can be fitted to secure your shutter panel.

Q) Do I need a sign off from an engineer after installing your shutters?
A) Not on standard tested sizing’s. Only when the Shutters exceed recommended sizing’s that has not been tested by Inovision & if needed from building contractor.

Q) How can I get cross section diagrams of your system?
A) Contact Inovision to enquire cross section diagrams or visit our website.

Q) What are the size limitations of your shutters?
· Sliding Stacking Shutters – 850 Wide x 2700 High per Panel.

Q) Can I get custom sized shutters?
A) Yes. All are custom made to suit the openings.

Q) How do I measure my window or door for the shutters?
A) Inovision Clients will have access to all Inovision manuals including Measuring Guide.

Q) Are your shutters easy to install?
A) Yes. Approved installers receive training by Inovision before becoming an approved installer to ensure installation is done correctly & by Inovision quality standards.

Q) How energy efficient are the shutters?
A) Dependant on the need & value that wants to be achieved.

Q) What is the delivery lead time when the order is placed?
A) 3-4 Weeks from placing the order.

Q) Can I become a client for Inovision to sell the shutter range?
A) Yes, if your company is a registered company within the aluminium industry, you will be able to sell the Block Out Shutter range.

Q) Is there training on shutter installations available to installing agents?
A) Yes. Product training is done by Inovision prior to becoming an Inovision Approved installer.

Q) How will the shutter be transported to me?
A) Via courier service or collection at our factory.

Q) Are spare parts readily available if I need to service the shutters?
A) Yes.

Q) What is the price per square meter?
A) Info to follow once calculations has been made.

Q) Do your shutters come in a DIY kit form or do I need a professional to install the shutters?
A) The Shutters do come in a kit form supplied by Inovision, but a professional approved installer is recommended for the installation.
